I interviewed two professionals name Miss Jody and Miss Lillie in the childhood education setting regarding the topics I am interesting in for my research paper.
They believe that one of my topics needs to1. Provide sufficient and adequate educational materials, 2. Get parents involved, 3. Inclusion in the classroom and 4. Overall health.
An important issue that is apparent at their settings is discrimination; not only with children but with adults, as well. They discuss with their staff the importance of communication regarding this matter. It is not always a matter of what to say, but rather how to speak to children and families about this. They focus a lot of attention on inclusion and how to make the classroom conducive to all children.
Some advocacy efforts and resources regarding children and families with disabilities or special needs in their interest are Kidneeds.com, Child Find (FDLRS), Family Central - Broward Inclusion and 211.
Out of all my topics children with disabilities or special needs concerned them the most because they
believe that inclusion is the biggest topic to address when concerning disabilities and special needs in the classroom. It is important to make all children feel welcome and "at home" and we try to apply this to all aspects of our program. I feel that the more we accept others who are different, the more well-rounded we become and the better our children and families are, as an outcome.

Discrimination is a very serious accusation. What exactly do you mean?
Yes it is. She was telling me a story about a parent that refuses a teacher to take care of her child because of the teacher's race.
